 One-of-a-Kind  Hand-Painted  

​​All of the silk  scarves and  pillows I create are One-of-a-Kind and Hand-Painted  using the age old techniques of batik and serti. Both are forms of painting on fabric using resists such as wax, and paints or dyes to achieve different color effects.

The processes have many steps of alternating applications of resist and paints, and are followed by setting and washing each piece. Each piece is individual. Sometimes the paint or dyes drip, spot, or run.  

This adds to the individual character and beauty of each piece. No two are exactly alike.
