My drawings are divided into the categories of themes

such asbotanical, barns, and also into the mediums

used-pen and ink, pencil, and colored pencil.

With each category of themes there is special intent.

The botanical illustrations are for study to gain an

understanding of how plants grow, for future use in

different mediums such as my silk paintings,

and for the sheer enjoyment of recording their

amazing beauty, gesture, intricacy, and grace.

The barns I have captured are specifically to render

and chronicle an important and fading history of

America. Their important utilitarian structure made it

possible for our young agrarian nation to grow.

These fine art pieces are traditional with respect to the

mediums used and are specifically used as

greeting cards.
